What If Your Cycle Was the Leadership Tool You’ve Been Missing?
There’s a reason so many ambitious women feel like they’re running on fumes. We’re leading companies, households, and big visions—but doing it while ignoring the most powerful tool available to us: our hormonal cycle.
I know what it feels like to be in the middle of a launch, staring blankly at your to-do list, wondering why your motivation just disappeared overnight. Or to question your capacity, thinking, “Why can’t I be consistent like other people?”
Here’s the truth most of us were never told:
Consistency is a masculine framework. Our bodies were built for rhythm.
Welcome to the world of Cycle-Led Leadership—where your hormones aren’t something to push through, but something to build with.
Hustle Culture Wasn’t Built for Our Bodies
Let’s break something down quickly. Men operate on a 24-hour hormone cycle. They wake up, hit peak energy by midday, wind down, repeat.
We, on the other hand, are on a 28–32 day cycle. Our energy, clarity, creativity, and even social capacity shift week to week. And yet we keep expecting ourselves to show up at 100% every single day like robots.
It’s not that you lack discipline.
It’s not that you’re “too emotional.”
It’s not that you’re lazy.
It’s that you’re living in a system that never considered your biology.
And the cost? Burnout, self-doubt, and misalignment.
The Four Phases of Your Cycle — and the Power in Each
Once I started understanding my own rhythm—and applying it to how I ran my business, booked my calendar, and even how I showed up online—everything shifted.
Let’s break down what your cycle actually looks like and how to work with it rather than against it.
1. 🩸 Menstrual Phase (Days 1–5): The Reset
This is the season of release and deep reflection. You’ll feel tired. That’s not weakness—it’s wisdom.
In this phase, I slow down, journal, and review what worked (or didn’t) in the past month. I might look at my content analytics or quietly reimagine where my business is going.
Instead of fighting the low energy, I make it sacred.
This is not the week to be on Zoom calls or forcing output. It’s the week for vision.
Your inner CEO needs silence to think clearly. Give her that.
2. 🌱 Follicular Phase (Days 6–13): The Spark
Energy begins to rise. Ideas flow. Your brain is on fire. THIS is when I outline new offers, script content, map launches, and start fresh projects.
You’ve rested, and now you’re inspired. Your brain is ready for creativity and planning.
Want to build a new funnel, start a podcast, or pitch your brand? This is your green light.
Use this window to move forward with bold ideas. Your body is behind you.
3. 🌟 Ovulatory Phase (Days 14–17): Main Character Energy
This is your visibility moment. You’re magnetic, confident, articulate, glowing.
In my world? That means scheduling client calls, recording podcasts, networking, or hosting live sessions. I call it the power phase.
If you’ve ever had a day where your makeup looks amazing, your content flows like magic, and people are just drawn to you—that’s ovulation in action.
Batch content. Make sales. Show your face.
This is where charisma and clarity meet.
4. 🔥 Luteal Phase (Days 18–28): The Completion Zone
Energy starts to fade. You become more discerning. Less social. And much more focused on detail.
Here, I edit. I organize. I tie up loose ends.
I hand off tasks to my assistant, close projects, and go inward again.
It’s tempting to push through this phase with caffeine and grit—but the real power comes from listening. Your body is prepping for rest. Honor that.
Planning With Rhythm Instead of Resistance
Here’s what I want every woman to know:
Your cycle is your built-in leadership calendar.
It’s why inside my Leadership Lab, we use a tool I created called the Rhythm Map—a calendar that aligns business tasks with your hormonal phases.
No, we’re not syncing our schedule to moon charts. We’re using real data.
Your biology is your blueprint.
I’ve structured my own week around this:
Monday/Wednesday – Calls + Coaching
Tuesday/Thursday – Backend work, strategy, content prep
Friday – CEO day (reviews, approvals, analytics)
And each week? Adjusted based on what phase I’m in.
This is how I run a regulated business.
This is how I lead without losing myself.
And this is how you can, too.
Start Small: You Don’t Need to Be Perfect
If this is all new for you, don’t panic. You don’t have to overhaul your life overnight.
Start with one area—maybe just your content calendar or client-facing tasks.
Use tools like the Oura Ring + Natural Cycles app to get to know your phases better. Even free apps like MyFlow can give you basic insight.
And most importantly: Give yourself grace.
There will still be deadlines you can’t move and calls you can’t reschedule. That’s life. But when you begin to build rhythm into your planning, the tension melts. Your guilt dissolves. And you stop questioning your capacity.
You Are Not Flaky. You Are Fluid.
We’ve been conditioned to believe our shifting energy makes us unreliable. But what if it makes us wise?
What if we stopped apologizing for being cyclical and started seeing it as our superpower?
I want to invite you into a new way of leading—one where your body is your greatest partner, not your biggest obstacle.
Audit your calendar. Track your phases. Have conversations with your team, your partner, your clients. Let them know when you need quiet. Let them witness what happens when you work in flow.
Because leading in rhythm isn’t just about feeling good.
It’s about leading better.
